Fifth Drive

ULM took advantage of the blocked punt and great field position by converting a field goal and lead Arkansas 10-6 with 3:48 remaining in the 1st half.

Arkansas probably needs to use this drive before the half is over to put a touchdown on the board and at least have some kind of momentum to come out to after intermission.

On the kickoff, Dennis Johnson tried to tiptoe up the sideline but stepped out at the 5-yard line, forcing Arkansas to drive 95 yards if they want to put it in the end zone.

1st-and-10 from its own 5. False start. Half the distance to the goal. 1st down repeated, Smith gets little gain.

On 2nd down, Smith carried for a big gain to his own 27. Dick was sacked on the the next play, however.

2nd and 16 from own 21. Dick gets sacked and Dick continued to get hit behind the line of scrimmage, forcing a punt and ULM takes over with :56 remaining.

Other than Michael Smith's running, Arkansas had done nothing this first half on offense and whenever they have done something, they have found a way to negate it.
